Lake Hood in Anchorage has more float planes landing and taking off than anywhere else in the world. There are very few roads in this massive state, so as a result, the lion share of the state is reached by plane or boat. This was a fasicinating experience for us. Michael also found some awesome looking dragonflies - they were turquoise.
